AirlineRatings.com, the site specializing in aviation safety and benefit assessments, has published the ranking of the best airlines in 2020. For this, a team of seven editors is studying a number of safety-related factors but also the opinions of the passengers, the evaluation of the investment and the profitability, the state of the fleet as well as the proposed classes with their options and the personnel reports.
In first place was Air New Zealand, which, apart from last year, has won first place in six of the past seven years. The airline conquered the editors with an exceptional performance compared to the best carriers. The company’s commitment to excellence concerns all of its activities. According to Air New Zealand’s interim CEO Jeff McDowall, this first prize is won thanks to the commitment of 12,500 airline employees, who constantly strive to provide a unique experience to customers every day.
Air New Zealand also has the Best Premium Class award.
Singapore Airlines also stands out with a second position, after a first position in 2019, thanks to its superb suites at the front of the upper deck of the airline’s flagship Airbus A380. The carrier is constantly reinventing itself and its journeys, especially with an evaluation process considered to be one of the most demanding in the industry.
